Please always compare left pane ("original") with right pane (displayed "archive contents") The paths are somewhat cut, the contents of the subdirectories are listed with arbitrary names at locations that do not exist. Due to the fact that this shows in both midnight commander and double commander I am assuming that there is some kind of tar-extracting library, used by both programs, resulting in such a clash. This should not happen IMHO, there is something very odd. Reading from tar archives is quite a basic functionality and should be reliable. Just to add: the archive file has about 13.6 GByte in size, but this should not matter as well.
