And it is not only the icon; the on-screen display does not pop-up when using the buttons. Things work correctly in 12.2 on this hardware (IBM ThinkPad X-41, default KDE 4.8.5 installation, kernel Linux 3.4.11-2.16-pae i686, 32-bit). I am pretty sure it worked OK in milestone 1, but I overwrote that with milestone 2, so cannot verify. In 12.2, the icon shows sound changes made with the hardware buttons - muting on and off, volume up and down. Also, when changing sound with the buttons, a bar graph pops up showing volume level and muting state. In 12.3, the sound changes correctly in response to the buttons, but the icon does not change and the on-screen display does not appear. There is only one audio device, identified in both 12.2 and 12.3 M2 as: 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller Configured as sound card number 0 Driver snd-intel8x0 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
