http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=990398 Bug ID: 990398 Summary: Make Installation easier to call from running system Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: fvogt@suse.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- To replace the installer on the live CD, which got removed due to various reasons, an icon to call the NET installer is now on the desktop. However, that installer does not expect to be called from that environment. It needs a /etc/install.inf and does not use settings from the live environment such as: - NetworkManager connection (even if connected, it shows its own setup screen) - zypper config (repos, gpg keys) It would be great if a way to call the installer more easily, like with a commandline switch, could be implemented. (If there is already a way, I could not find it) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
