https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732454 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732454#c0 Summary: Adding a second system tray crashes plasma-desktop Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: massing@simula.no QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Ubuntu; X11; Linux x86_64; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0 Plasma desktop crashes if a second system tray is added. This happens especially in the case where you want to have a second panel and choose the default one. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Very simple :) 1.New/plain install from the openSUSE 12.1 KDE live CD 2.Log into KDE 3. Try to add a default panel by right-clicking while mouse pointer is on the desktop (Sorry I felt obligated to fill in the 3 given default lines ;) ) More narrowed-down: Try to add a second system tray in your panel. This is known as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277367 Actual Results: Plasma-desktop crashes. Expected Results: A second default panel with a functional system-tray. Seems to be fixed in upstream, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277367 It seems to be an on-liner patch https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kde-workspace/repository/revisions/c4a... maybe patching and updating the corresponding kde package in openSUSE 12.1 might be possible?
