I believe this is a packaging problem.
Following the comments on dot.kde.org (topic: KDE 4.1.3 release) I found out that yast2 installed a broken Qt version from anywhere. In my case it used Qt from the repository Qt44, for other users yast2 took a Qt version from other repositories. I deactivated all Qt-related repos except KDE-Factory and updated Qt. Now it works fine.
Maybe someone can confirm this and tell us which repo he was using? ---------snip---------------
I can confirm that switching to the //download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt/ repo seems to remove the system tray problem. I had tried the 43, 44 and 45 repos while trying to clear up another problem, (kde4 doesn't seem to like xorg 7.4 (from an unsupported repo) on opensuse 10.3) the only repo not exhibiting the systray problem for me is the one I listed above. I'm willing to call this an incompatability problem rather than a bug at this point -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
