https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765524 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=765524#c0 Summary: Bug in the new package of xf86-input-synaptics Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Milestone 3 Platform: HP OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: pa.andreas@yandex.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux i686; U; Edition Linux Mint; el) Presto/2.10.229 Version/11.64 I see this new package: xf86-input-synaptics, it is not include the patch: xf86-input-synaptics-led-double-tap.diff this patch has to do with the double tab in top left corner, that unlock and locks the touch-pad of many HP laptop, and open or close the led light, when the led is open the touch-pad is lock, (example when typing), it also opens when double tap it. this patch it was included in OpenSuse 12.1 and previous, but not in 12.2(!) I test the opensuse 12.1(stable) and the led light work(hp g62), in 12.2 it is not work(hp g62) So please put back the patch xf86-input-synaptics-led-double-tap.diff and test the package before submit it, (if you can). or if can not put it back, take some other action, to make the led light to work again on OpenSuse as before, it is very important to make OpenSuse work perfect in hp laptops without bugs, see Additional Information below. I Am open if you want to contact me ...Andreas Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.test the live cd of opensuse 12.2 -the newest in a hp G62 laptop. 2.double tap the top left corner, the led light it is don't open and the touchpad of laptop it is not locked as it should do, and do with previous versions of opensuse(12.1 -). 3. Actual Results: The led light it is don't open and the touchpad of laptop it is not locked as it should do, and do with previous versions of OpenSuse. Expected Results: The led light it is don't open and the touchpad of laptop it is not locked as it should do, and do with previous versions of OpenSuse. Note 1: If the dev's have not a HP G62 to test it, then give the package to me and i test it for you, and say if the double tap works or not. Note 2: The files: /boot/vmlinuz /usr/lib/xorg/modules/.../synaptics_drv.so are the only files in linux filesystem that are responsible for the led double tap future. ...and and especially synaptics_drv.so for this bug i think. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
