https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811231 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=811231#c0 Summary: Auto-hidden panel doesn't show when pointed with mouse after some time Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: michal.seweryniak@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 The error occurred after upgrading OpenSUSE from 12.2 to 12.3 (KDE updated to 4.10.1). When the bottom panel is set to auto-hide, opening some child window in any application causes the panel to stay hidden even when moving cursor to the bottom edge of the desktop. To make the auto-hidden panel work again, need to press Atl+F1 (to show up KDE start menu) or Alt+F2 or Alt+TAB (a couple of times to switch active window back and forth). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set the bottom panel to auto-hide 2.Open an application, i.e. Dolphin file manager (but it works on any application) 3.Move cursor to the bottom of the desktop to check if the bottom panel shows correctly - it works OK so far. 4.Open any child window from the active application window (i.e. Dolphins configuration settings dialog) 5.Now do the same check as in p.3 - from now on, the bottom panel will not show anymore. Actual Results: The panel doesn't show when moving mouse to the desktop edge. Expected Results: The auto-hidden panel should show each time the mouse is moved to the panel's desktop edge (bottom edge in my case) To have the panel working again, I have to press Alt+F1 or Alt+F2 (some combination of Alt+Tab works as well) Using default OpenSuse 12.3 theme, no special configuration. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
