http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=585368 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=585368#c0 Summary: pidgin patch inconsistent Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wolfgang@rosenauer.org QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: security-team@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The recent pidgin/finch/libpurple patch is apparently broken. zypper successfully updated libpurple packages but hid the pidgin update packages for me. Using yast it tells me why: I have pidgin-otr installed: wolfgang@tvp:~> rpm -qR pidgin-otr rpmlib(VersionedDependencies) <= 3.0.3-1 pidgin = 2.6.3 I see two issues here: 1. pidgin-otr needs to be updated as well (or if the requirement is wrong that needs to be fixed) 2. I don't think it's a good idea to have different versions of purple and pidgin? Or is that not an issue? But if it is pidgin should have a version requirement to libpurple. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
