https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=339640#c13 --- Comment #13 from Stefan Dirsch <sndirsch@novell.com> 2007-11-15 19:45:57 MST --- I don't expect you to reproduce anything at this moment. The missing symlink in weak-updates. I can't reproduce this issue with any update kernel, which is currently available for 10.3. I'm not aware of anyone besides you, who ran into this problem.
Please tell me if you don't believe GE 8300 GS can make the difference, and that if I repeated, hand installing 2.6.9-0.4 broken kernel and then Nvidia 3D that I would have kernel module links in the right place.
Yes, I think so.
Then I will happily Change to FIXED, citing kernel 2.6.22.9-0.4 as the likely cause of my trouble.
It might be possible, that a broken 2.6.22.9 kernel had been replaced afterwards and you were using the broken one. This would explain a lot here. What I still do not understand is that your card is configured with vesa instead of driver. Honestly I just do not believe this. But I don't want you to run into more problems by uninstalling the nvidia driver just to verify this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
