http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=621706 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=621706#c0 Summary: Disabling compositioning shadows has no effect Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: dawid@klej.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/533.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/5.0.375.99 Safari/533.4 I am not sure whether it is me just failing to notice the difference, or disabling the shadows in Desktop effects configuration makes no difference on the shadows themselves. I checked it on two different systems with 11.3 RC2 installed and it was the same. AFAIR it was possible to disable the shadows just fine using 11.2. This may seem as a cosmetic issue but it surely is important for those with limited GPU power. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to KDE's Desktop Effects configuration 2. Having the compositing enabled enable and disable shadows 3. Notice the difference Actual Results: A blue shadow frame around the windows is there no matter the settings chosen. Expected Results: The shadow effect to be disabled properly. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
