So here we are, openSUSE arbitrarily replaced a working GNU program with a BSD derivate in a central networking tool heavily relied upon in existing scripts, breaking them completely because of its incompatible CLI and incompatible semantics (regarding end of transfer conditions). Next, even the alternative package vanishes from the distribution and the error message becomes a ridicule. What do I care as a user if the BSD variant has a cleaner implementation or more options? My scripts fail and I never get to know the reason in the first place! Shouldn't it be self-evident that on GNU/Linux, I want GNU programs, not BSD surrogates, or at least compatible behaviour? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
