mktexlsr ; sudo pkill -9 -f mktexlsr; sudo pkill -9 -f xetex; sudo pkill -9 -f pdftex ; sleep 1; done to try to accelerate it. No idea why zypper dup insisted on installing all that lot. AFAICS the TeX packaging produces incredibly large installed sizes of packages - and I usually remove them all again - or as many as I can, simply to save space.
