https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=287801 Summary: DNS and gateway settings entered during setup are not stored Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 5 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mgyhardsoft@freestart.hu QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer I set up openSUSE 10.3 Alpha 5 from the CD set. At the internet connection setup I enter a fix IP configuration with a name server and a gateway address. The system passes the internet connection test, however, at later stages it can't resolve machine names (www.suse.com, etc) anymore. After logging in and starting YAST it turns out that the fix IP address and netmask for the NIC are stored but the DNS and gateway settings are empty. After setting up the DNS and gateway values in YAST they are stored correctly in the system. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
