https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=334993#c334147 Summary: Today's YOU security update of Festival appears to want to install festival-devel Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: robin.listas@telefonica.net QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Today's YOU security update of Festival "apparently" wants to install festival-devel, as a dependency. But it is not so, it is a side effect of a trick I use. The YOU window has a little box showing the total bytes to download (it has dissapeared in 10.3), but it always shows zero. However, marking and unmarking another package makes this box to be updated. That's what I do: I click on a "QEMU" update (already applied time ago), and then click it again so that it doesn't install. However, this operation has the unexpected side effect of wanting to download the "festival-devel" rpm! If I select "quemu", then remove "festival-devel", and press "check dependencies" it says that everything is OK, so "festival-devel" is not really a dependency. Why/what wants to install it? Resolver test case available on request.
