This is really bad for the distribution! 90% of all users will dismiss their fresh openSUSE installation like this. However we do currently have such severe problems with the kernel that it possibly isn`t worth to resolve that. Neither s2ram nor s2disk do work any more. Even FreeBSD does better in means of power saving these times. These problems are not only extremely annoying (while other instabilities like 100% ksoftirqd & scheduler crashes have already been resolved) but also an environmental problem (huge power waste!). No good way to use openSUSE 11.2: Bug 566388 - crash on resume from s2ram Bug 566391 - s2isk failed ... or vote for FreeBSD if you like it: https://features.opensuse.org/308617 I hope it will obtain s2disk support by a summer of code in the near future. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
