A device driver failing to suspend comes to mind. However, a console log would be necessary to identify it.
Can I get that console log for you somehow?
That depends on what ports are there in the box.
I have the splash screen disabled, so that suspend messages do display in the screen, but they do not log to file. I made a photo with my mobile phone, maybe you'd like that? Quality is not good, but I don't have anything else.
OK, please attach it.
In case you are thinking of attaching a serial console to the kernel to dump messages there, that will not work: Bug 472861
Well, too bad.
For clarification: machine does hibernate. What doesn't work is the final power off. The machine is effectively dumped to disk and "halted", but "on". I pull the power, then switch on, and it comes back correctly.
That's exactly what I thought. Do you have any experience with building the kernel from sources? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
