https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=748668 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=748668#c0 Summary: I need to enter password for: sleep, network, pendrive Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Xfce AssignedTo: bnc-team-xfce@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mpapis@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=477658) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=477658) my local rules User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.1 For many basic operations I'm asked for password, it makes work very annoying. But one is dangerous - closing the laptop lid does not put computer into sleep, it asks for password: really ? I just closed the lid, do i need to open it to enter password to close it again ? I'm used to close the lid and hide my laptop to backpack, the above behavior makes it possible to destroy hardware because of overheat. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. close the laptop lid, connect to new wifi, connect memory stick Actual Results: I'm asked for a password for many basic operations. Expected Results: it should just work without asking me for a password, even MS windows stoped asking for a password (which was the case in Vista) I'm not sure if the problem is with the polkit settings itself, I had to enable the inactive part of rules - which might be a bug in detecting active/inactive session. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
