https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=657258 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=657258#c0 Summary: debuginfo packages do not match Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: estellnb@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 SUSE/3.6.12-0.7.1 Firefox/3.6.12 Lately I have tried to extract some useful information out of Xorg.log backtraces. However trying to do so I had to notice that the freshly installed debuginfo packages do not match the installed software. Horrifyingly the backtraces libbfd has produced out of f.i. /usr/bin/Xorg and /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/Xorg.debug are completely different (see attachement to be cat-ed on console). The source of the problem uncovers even better on invocation of gdb (see attchmnt: libc-wrong-debuginfo) Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
