https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=810333 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=810333#c0 Summary: Upgrade from 12.1 to 12.3 "loses" misses xf86-video-intel Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 3rd Party Driver AssignedTo: sndirsch@suse.com ReportedBy: gp@suse.com QAContact: sndirsch@suse.com Found By: Product Management Blocker: --- I updated (via zypper dup) an up-to-date openSUSE 12.1 system to 12.3 and found that it only ran with the VESA driver. Further investigation -- thanks Stefan! -- revealed that the xf86-video-intel package was not installed, so as part of the upgrade I missed/lost the required Intel drivers. (The system was working, just with slower graphics and without proper dual screen setup -- no second screen was detected, though the contents was mirrored.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
