Simply set the router to disable DHCP on the LAN. When the install reaches automatic configuration near the end it will try to configure the network using DHCP and lock up with no possibility of moving forward. If instead you set the router to enable DHCP on the LAN and start over the install will complete successfully. I have repeated this failure on several different machines and do not have any more time to deal with it. I don't know how to provide the yast2 logs and really can't spend any more time on this. When (if) there is a Alpha 3 release I will try this again and report the problem if it has not been fixed. Incidentally the problem must have been introduced subsequent to openSUSE-11.0-DVD-i386-iso as that release completes successfully with DHCP disabled on the LAN. After it completes the user can set up the addresses himself and all is well. 11.1-Alpha2 does not permit you to reach that point, instead locking up without any ability to escape. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
