Biantai,
Firs you need install the correct package for input method, I use wubi for example. ibus-table-1.3.9.20110827-3.1.1.x86_64 ibus-table-chinese-wubi-jidian-1.4.6-2.1.1.noarch
Then, you need add the input method from 'Ibus Preferences'. Or running 'ibus-setup' in terminal. In 'Input method' tab, select the input method, then click add.
After that with 'Ctrl + space' will input Chinese.
Could you try it? Thanks!
First, thank you for your detailed answer. It seems that I didn't make myself clear. Surely I can install ibus and ibus-sunpinyin for a Chinese input method as I did in previous versions of opensuse, but ibus seems to be integrated into GNOME 3.6 and is meant to enable users using different input methods to select input method directly from settings-->region-->input_source without manually installing other packages. For example, there is a 'Japanese(anthy)' option (and many other for Japanese)in the input source so I can directly choose it to input Japanese without manually installing any packages(I've tried it). But the same doesn't work for Chinese input method(and probably only Chinese), because there's no options such as 'Chinese(libpinyin/wubi/sunpinyin)' at all. I'll appreciate it if such options are added just as other languages are so that Chinese users don't have to manually install packages. PS: This is unique to 12.3 with GNOME 3.6,not sure if you are using this version. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
