http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=519771 Summary: No more network scanning with Brother MFS-7820N under 11.1 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: herr-schneider.m@wir-aus-der.eu QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.1.0) Gecko/20090623 SUSE/3.5.0-6.1 Firefox/3.5 After a complete reinstall of my system to 11.1, no more scanning using Brother MFC-7820N is possible. I did everything as described here: http://solutions.brother.com/linux/sol/printer/linux/sane_install-net.html Brother brsaneconfig2 -q shows active scanner, still nothing happens when I open kooka, xsane states "No device found" Unfortunately there are no errors nowhere, systemlog whatever. I also verified that my user is in group lp (/etc/udev/rules.d/55-libsane.rules) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Brother drivers + dependencies as mentioned at their site 2. Configure Brother drivers according to their recommendation 3. Start up any sane based scan application and try to find scanner -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
