Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 13.1 Beta 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: shess@bak.rr.com QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/30.0.1599.66 Safari/537.36 When configuring NFS Client with YaST2 the process hangs at 50% of creation and no way to cancel is possible except rebooting. On rebooting system is unbootable until /etc/host is edited to add entry for NFS server. After addition of NFS server IP address to /etc/hosts NFS shares are mounted and system boots normally. It seems the NFS shares are attempted to be mounted before the IP address of the NFS server can even be detected or accessed. Messages at CTRL F10 during hang in creation seem to indicate the NFS server can not be located then some type of kernel time outs occur.
