https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=894763 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=894763#c6 --- Comment #6 from andreas bittner <abittner@abittner.de> 2014-09-15 13:10:12 UTC --- some more info: i just attached a real vga (dsub15) cable as the monitor had that one too as the mainboard, but before it was already locally attached via dvi-d cable, but the same results so far with the installed system. it doesnt boot up no matter which of those four entries in grub2 i select, failsafe or normal, and no matter if default or destkop kernel. will try your other hints from above later if i can. i also tried to use a more current openSUSE-Factory-DVD-i586-Snapshot20140909-Media.iso via usb key and tried the upgrade menu entry from the iso media boot menu (as advices in the other bug) but that also fails this time it fails telling me that my underlying system would not be compatible with the system trying to getting installed via the usb key. very weird. i just checked with rescue mode on the dev/sda2 local disk and doublechecked that the system was previously at opensuse 13.1 i586 stage (bottle), it still displays in the var/log/boot.msg file so from within the happily running bottle 13.1/x86/i586 i did zypper dup, which then destroyed my system to not boot up any more and now i am stuck with that factory from september 1st image (or dup state) and it doesnt even allow to be upgraded to the slightly more current state of the newer iso image via upgrade scenario from the newer usb key openSUSE-Factory-DVD-i586-Snapshot20140909-Media.iso :( this is a total mess :( -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
