http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1183830 Bug ID: 1183830 Summary: tracker-miner-fs-3 times out, with high CPU usage. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: gnome-bugs@suse.de Reporter: michiel@nexigon.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hi, it seams that I'm experiencing the same issues as the reported upstream report: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/tracker-miners/-/issues/161 tracker3 also times out on my system. proces /usr/libexec/tracker-miner-fs-3 is using 100% of 1 cpu core. I checked my logs and this error started appearing after installing snapshot 20210316. Currently I'm running snapshot 20210318. mrt 20 17:10:30 nbnex002.lan systemd[15735]: tracker-miner-fs-3.service: start operation timed out. Terminating. mrt 20 17:10:30 nbnex002.lan systemd[15735]: tracker-miner-fs-3.service: Failed with result 'timeout'. mrt 20 17:10:30 nbnex002.lan systemd[15735]: Failed to start Tracker file system data miner. mrt 20 17:10:30 nbnex002.lan systemd[15735]: tracker-miner-fs-3.service: Scheduled restart job, restart counter is at 3. mrt 20 17:10:30 nbnex002.lan systemd[15735]: Stopped Tracker file system data miner. mrt 20 17:10:30 nbnex002.lan systemd[15735]: Starting Tracker file system data miner... mrt 20 17:10:30 nbnex002.lan tracker-miner-f[19900]: tracker-miner-fs-3 running as org.freedesktop.Tracker3.Miner.Files From the mentioned upstream gnome bug report this appears to be an issue with the sqlite3 package. And in fact in snapshot 20210316 that package got an update: sqlite3 (3.34.1 -> 3.35.0) A fix for sqlite3 is mentioned here: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/distributor-list/2021-March/msg00000.html For now I attached the report to Gnome, but perhaps it's better to attach it to sqlite3. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
