When selecting text on a white background this results in the text disappearing. Up until recently chromium honoured plasma 5's text selection colour. Indeed Chrome 56 still does use the system text selection colour as do all other gtk apps being used in plasma. Rolling back to Chromium 55 does not correct the problem so perhaps the issue is not within chromium itself.
