However, the root= command is wrong. Specifically, yast is not using the correct partition of /boot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install a VM (either in a VMWare Player or a VirtualBox) with openSUSE 12.2 with: * One SCSI controller ** At (0,0) position add one HDD of 250MB (/boot) ** At (0,1) position add one HDD for the / 2. Install system, boot and upgrade the kernel 3.
