The YaST printer module in openSUSE 11.1
is a complete rewrite from scratch.
Many thanks for testing it!
What you write about is just not yet implemented
so that your report is valid but on the other hand
I like to close it as "Fixed in Milestone: Beta3"
because in openSUSE 11.1 Beta3 all mandatory functionality
would be implemented.
Please be patient and reopen it, if it is not fixed
in openSUSE 11.1 Beta3.
In the meantime use e.g. the CUPS web interface
http://localhost:631/
to set up a queue for a printer in the network
(go to "Administration" and log in as "root").
For some more information regarding the
new YaST printer module in openSUSE 11.1 see
http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/Development/Printer_Enhancement
and
http://mzugec.blogspot.com/2008/08/new-yast2-printer-configuration-module.ht...
In your particular case the "Connection Wizard" is
not yet implemented, see for example
http://en.opensuse.org/Image:Printer_mschmidkunz_connectionwizard_nw.png
What there is currently implemented is only a very basic
"placeholder" to have some dialog at all for the workflow.
By the way:
To print from a CUPS client system to a queue on a CUPS server,
usually you don't need a queue on the CUPS client system.
Use "CUPS Browsing" or set up a "client-only" config, see
http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:CUPS_in_a_Nutshell
