https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=384647 Summary: X60 tablet with pen gives constant "bad magic" errors, then crashes KDE Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: carlos.lange@ualberta.ca QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: dkukawka@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=211058) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=211058) Xorg.0.log.old When using the pen at any point in the touch screen of my Thinkpad X60 tablet, an error "xf86WcmSerialValidate: bad magic at 1 v=91 l=9" or similar appears in /var/log/kdm.log. The v and l numbers some times change, but they are not a function of position on the screen. These entries are only added when the pen is used. After using the pen for a while (no particular or repeatable usage) KDE crashes and restarts with the login screen. While /var/log/messages just says: Apr 29 01:30:48 ronaldinho gconfd (clange-13252): Received signal 15, shutting down cleanly Apr 29 01:30:48 ronaldinho kdm[2952]: X server for display :0 terminated unexpectedly Xorg.0.log.old and kdm.log have more information (the same), so I am attaching Xorg.0.log.old, since it is smaller. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
