https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=778440 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=778440#c0 Summary: Phonon without kde, doesn't work Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@suse.com ReportedBy: nekolayer@yandex.ru QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; Edition Next) Presto/2.12.378 Version/12.50 I prefer Gnome. Some sound players(read as leechcraft-lmp, i maintain it) want qt+phonon and kde not necessary for them, but phonon doesn't work without kdebase4-workspace(and 84 packages that it pull). Player say "phonon backend plugin could not be loaded", but phonon-backend-gstreamer-0_10 installed. I found, if make symlink %{_libdir}/kde4/plugins/phonon_backend to %{_libdir}/qt4/plugins/phonon_backend all works! Maybe we can solve this in phonon, without installing half of kde? Also, can i do this link in package with player, is it can be acceptable solution for our main repos? And If we won't do symlink, maybe libphonon4 must require kde packages? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get system without any kde packages. 2. Run player which uses phonon (i run leechcraft-lmp) 3. Play something Actual Results: phonon backend plugin could not be loaded, plays nothing. Expected Results: play music -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
