The yast2-instserver does seem to meet the initial need of having a local installation source, however there is nothing mentioned on the initial screen or in the help, about including downloaded package updates/deltas and RPMs and being able to use them if a network install is initiated ie I assume if a network install is initiated would install the base packages and then have to connect to the internet and download the updates to the installed packages as opposed to updating from already downloaded patches on the installation source folder. The main aim of having the package updates stored in a central location is to save bandwidth and time, as I am sure many people/companies pay per MB of data they download, despite the time it takes them. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
