https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=308640 Summary: Install single RPM with ' Install Software ' dies without feedback Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nospamm@gmx.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Installing single RPM with ' Install Software ' by left-clicking the file or through context-menu launches yast2 sw_single. There is some action in the background which can take quite an amount of time. The process then dies after some time without any error message. the following konsole-lines demonstrate the problem: linux-b18d:/home/test/Desktop # ls directory myComputer.desktop SuSE.desktop easytag-2.1.2-0.pm.0.src.rpm Network.desktop trash.desktop ImageMagick-6.3.5.3-20.i586.rpm Office.desktop MozillaFirefox.desktop Printer.desktop linux-b18d:/home/test/Desktop # yast2 -i ImageMagick-6.3.5.3-20.i586.rpm linux-b18d:/home/test/Desktop # rpm -qi ImageMagick package ImageMagick is not installed I first thought it might just häppen with src-rpms(there is no easytag rpm for 10.3 on packman yet) but ImageMagick from factory fails too. I vote this as MostAnnoyingBug, since if you have some repositories activated you might wait really long for nothing to happen. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
