This section has IODINED_PASS and IODINED_OPTIONS as variable. Both are used for /bin/sh -c "/usr/sbin/iodined ${IODINED_PASS} ${IODINED_OPTIONS} in /usr/lib/systemd/system/iodined.service to start iodine with adjustable parameters. There are two flaws in this setup: 1) According to the manpage of iodine, the password should be given with a -P. This fact is nowhere noted in /etc/sysconfig/iodined and setting a plain password in IODINED_PASS prevents iodined from starting. So, there should be a comment about the mandatory -P in $IODINED_PASS. Maybe also add comments about other 2) Why are there two parameters for iodined anyhow? The password could be set with IODINED_OPTIONS. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install iodine 2. set options and password with Yast2->sysconfig->System->iodined 3. observe that iodined can't start with a simple string as password in IODINED_PASS. This is due to the lack of a "-P" -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
