We are up-to-date here so that this bug report is invalid. The Hewlett-Packard ScanJet G2710 is currently only supported by the unstable sane-backends CVS development version. We do not provide development versions in openSUSE. As always in the past we will also for openSUSE 11.2 provide an up-to-date version of sane-backends which depends on which version was officially released by the SANE project before there is our package version upgrade deadline so that there is no need to file a bug report or enhancement request for a usual package version upgrade. According to http://www.sane-project.org/cgi-bin/driver.pl?manu=&model=G2710&bus=any&v=&p= the Hewlett-Packard ScanJet G2710 is "Similar to hp scanjet 3800" which is basically supported by the hp3900 driver in version 1.0.19 of sane-backends so that - ON YOUR OWN RISK (!) - you might try if it works to do a manual setup via the /etc/sane.d/hp3900.conf see "man sane-hp3900" -------------------------------------------------------------------- This is ALPHA software. Keep your hand at the scanner's plug and unplug it, if scanner does not start to scan. -------------------------------------------------------------------- For some background information have a look at http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Configuring_Scanners_from_SUSE_LINUX_9.2 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
