Configured wlan0 through Networkmanager and plasmoid-networkmanager for home network with WEP2-Enterprise. Connection is good. Placed laptop in hibernation and moved to local coffee shop with new wifi. Bringing laptop out of hibernation the RFKILL button on my HP G72 is blinking. I accessed PNM to configure wlan0 configuration but it is cycling on and off again, about once every second. Upon going to 'Manage Connections...' I attempt to scan wifi in the 'Available Networks', but none are shown in GUI 'Map Screen' or 'Details Screen'. I pull up terminal and issue 'sudo /usr/sbin/iwconfig wlan0 scan'; sometimes wifi hotspots are shown(other times not). Logs show problem with supplicant. however, I am attempting to simply obtain listing of wifi hotspots; not authenticate yet. Upon returning home, the wifi works again on my previously configured wifi. As well, all the surrounding wifi spots(some 30 different ones) are shown and available. Seems that new connections are creating problems. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Access PNM. 2.Configure new connection using Manage Connections. 3.Scan for Available Networks. Actual Results: No Available Networks are shown. Expected Results: Available Networks should show surrounding wifi spots. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
