Something in either the init scripts or initrd are not looking for the suspended image. The problem is not in pm-utils, which as shown above, are clearly doing their job. The "boot-resume.*.sh" scripts sure sound like a great start. Why would they exist in the suspend package, which isn't really the only way one suspends a system?
