Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Maintenance AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: james@bear454.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=329521) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=329521) tooltip on the tray shows that update-applet has data for 2 updates, but the main window doesn't User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4 When update-applet shows there are updates available, there is no way to see information about what updates it has, except to open the 'Software Update' window (double-clicking the update-applet tray icon). Doing so triggers a reload of the update status. If the update-applet knows there are 2 updates pending, those updates should show immediately in the 'Software Update' list, instead of requiring a reload. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Wait for update-applet to notice updates - it will tell you how many of what type (it has data about the updates). 2. Double-click 3. Wait for the 'Software Update' window to 'refresh', only to show the same updates the tray icon already discovered. Actual Results: Waiting to see what the 2 available updates are. Expected Results: Seeing the 2 available updates immediately. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
