https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216043 ------- Comment #11 from werner@novell.com 2007-05-14 08:47 MST ------- IMHO the variable `XORGCONFIG' is not exported in all XDM's due security risks. Also an environment variable does not make sence in this case because the X serve is already up and running before any user script is set up, this would require an X server restart or at least a reset triggered with the environment of a user open a security risk. The allowed environment of e.g. XDM is well defined and described in the manual page of xdm(1). Don't know why Mandriva allows this. Beside this lines like 0: local /usr/bin/X -nolisten tcp -br vt7 -config xorg-large.conf 1: local /usr/bin/X -nolisten tcp -br vt7 -config xorg-small.conf in /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers could help todo such things. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
