[Bug 792326] mkinitrd (2.7.1-62.6.1 | x86_64) wants module 'hid-generic' - there is no such thing.

Can only be resolved by installing again from DVD. Don't won't to boot up because am afraid to stuck with broken system.

What you describe looks like a different bug, unrelated to the hid-generic issue.
