http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1037592 Bug ID: 1037592 Summary: PackageKit cronjob runs daily even when disabled in `/etc/sysconfig/` Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: christopher.a.kingparra@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: No Created attachment 723811 --> http://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=723811&action=edit Content of /etc/cron.daily/packagekit-background.cron On openSUSE Tumbleweed, with "PackageKit-1.1.5-2.1.x86_64", the PackageKit cronjob in "/etc/cron.daily/packagekit-background.cron" will run daily regardless of whether it's turned off in "/etc/sysconfig/packagekit-background" through either the /etc/sysconfig editor YAST2 interface, or by editing "/etc/sysconfig/packagekit-background". I think this is because of a syntax error in the cronjob "/etc/cron.daily/packagekit-background.cron", which I've attached, but I'm not sure.
