I am using an Intel Pentium 4 631 CPU on Dream 945GC Vista mainboard. On the main board, there is Realtek rtl8100C on-chip LAN( rtl 8139... Driver 10/100Mbps). And I am using WinXP Home also on that machine. The network on WinXP works very well. But on OpenSuSE, Fedora, and Solaris installation, network did not work. On back pannel of PC, there is LED of LAN port. On winXP, it lid on. But on linux installation, it did not light on, and network connection failed.
