I'm increasing severity, as it doesn't seem from the last comments that this bug is addressed even for 12.1. One easy way to test: # zypper al kernel-* # zypper al -t patch kernel-* # zypper ll 1 | kernel-* | package | (any) 2 | kernel-* | patch | (any) # zypper patch Problem: patch:kernel-XXX.XXX conflicts with kernel-XXX < 2.6.XXX provided by kernel-XXX Solution 1: do not keep kernel-XXX Solution 2: do not install patch:kernel-XXX So yes, the packages are locked, but zypper still tries to install the patch. This should not happen. One could also argue that a lock for a package should imply a lock for patches, but I'm not insisting on that one. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
