https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=822962 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=822962#c0 Summary: yast2 Software Management does not show all installed kernels Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: support@microtechniques.com QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20130518 Firefox/20.0 PaleMoon/20.1 As part of a recent upgrade to 12.3 the default for zypp.conf / multiversion.kerneles seems to have been changed. As a consequence, all of my 12.3 systems have multiple kernels installed. However, yast2 Software Management only shows a single entry under Package Versions. This leads to some confusing conflict error messages complaining about conflicts with versions that do not list as being installed. It also caused me to needlessly re-install a kernel several times since the display seemed to indicated that the install had failed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. use yast2 to upgrade the kernel. 2. check the kernel Package Versions. 3. do a RPM -qa and notice that additional kernels are installed over what is displayed by yst2 Actual Results: Multiple kernels installed, but only one is listed Expected Results: Multiple kernels installed and all listed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
