Possibly FreeBSD uses a different sample format or sample rate as pipewire picks up. e.g. 16bit / 48kHz.
Just curious, issue was very nondeterministic. Wouldn't be resampling issues 100% deterministic on the very same stream? Another thing, it wasn't anything like when you pick different sampling rate than the HW expects, like 44k vs 48k mismatch.
