https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=426178 Summary: Add repair options for md RAID in "Recover installed system" Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: andrew@joako.net QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Consulting If you have an openSUSE system that will not boot due to issues with the software (md) RAID and try the "Recover installed system" option it will not detect an installation at all. There should be an added option for automated tools to recover a degraded RAID array. Recently I have 2 systems both have the software RAID fail, one upon booting the system after correctly shutting it down. The mdadm tool is inadequate for repairing even a failed RAID-1 array. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
