Yubikey-manager was update to the latest version 5.2.1. This is the base for yubikey-manager-qt and yubioath-desktop and till now it is not possible to build a yubioath-desktop package from the latest source code. Yubico provides a binary package for download with all dependencies. The next step is to remove the two years old yubioath-desktop 5.1 from repository. Yubikey-manager 4.0.9 depends on several legacy Python 3.6 packages still deployed in Leap.
