https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=427854 User jaanvajakas@hot.ee added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=427854#c3 --- Comment #3 from Jaan Vajakas <jaanvajakas@hot.ee> 2008-10-06 04:14:54 MDT --- I would expect a kernel update to leave the order of entries intact, only replace the kernel version with a newer one for those entries for which it can detect that they correspond to the current Suse installation and use the previous kernel version (this is what comments like ###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: linux### in menu.lst are for, isn't it?). If I wanted to change the order of the entries, I would use the Boot Loader section in YaST (or edit menu.lst manually), not rely on the feature of "auto-sorting" the menu each time after kernel update. So it seems to me that the question of "good order" is important only in the openSuse installer, not in the case of a kernel update. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
