https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=388682 Summary: graphical package installer segfaults on certain packages Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jmatejek@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- when trying to install "virtualbox-ose-kmp-pae", the graphical package selector segfaults: bagr:/data/matejcik # yast2 -i YaST got signal 11 at YCP file /usr/share/YaST2/clients/inst_packages.ycp:49 /sbin/yast2: line 420: 14080 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS installation via zypper gives the following: bagr:/data/matejcik # zypper in virtualbox-ose-kmp-pae Reading installed packages... Problem: module-init-tools-3.4-9.x86_64 requires libc.so.6()(64bit), but this requirement cannot be provided Solution 1: do not ask to install a solvable providing virtualbox-ose-kmp-pae Solution 2: Ignore some dependencies of module-init-tools Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/C]: installation via ncurses interface asks the same question, but about python-crypto-2.0.1-157 both module-init-tools and python-crypto in the specified versions are present on my system, as well as glibc-2.8-9, which appears to provide libc.so.6()(64bit). From that, i would think that it's a dependency solver bug as well. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
