https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=239420 Summary: Enhance message when hotpluggable device can not be disconnected (KDE) Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Hotplug AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mhorvath@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de We should enhance the message popping up when trying to disconnect/unmount a pluggable device. For instance, if I have a USB harddrive connected and try to unmount it (while it is being used), a message shows up "Cannot unmount volume. An application is preventing the volume from being unmounted". lsof gives this; bash 7578 mboman cwd DIR 8,17 115 131 /media/disk/pub So a better way would be to parse this and tell the user that mboman is "responsible" and perhaps add (bash/cwd) in there as well. For normal users, I would guess that instead of bash/cwd, they would have "OpenOffice" or "Nautilus" instead. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
