https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1225817 Bug ID: 1225817 Summary: battery charge limit is not persistent Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: 64bit OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: kadlecf@volny.cz QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Target Milestone: --- Found By: --- Blocker: --- In the Advanced Power Settings, one may now limit the battery charge limit in order to extend its lifetime. The default value is charge up to 100%; this can be changed to any lower value, and the root password is required. The charging is then indeed limited to that value. However, after a reboot, the field goes back to the default value. I strongly suspect this setting should be persistent instead, until the next manual modification.
